Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) is looking for a full-time Tax/Housing Program Associate with the following Essential Duties:

VITA Tax Program Duties (70 %):

• Schedule tax appointments for clients and respond to all client inquiries regarding taxes
• Coordinate, recruit, and schedule all VITA Volunteers- this includes training all volunteers in TaxWise Software and the Intake process.
• Prepare returns and transmit returns
• Represent HPP at VITA meetings and participate in bi-weekly coalition conference calls
• Sole responsibility in conducting the ITIN application process
• Submitting ITIN documentation to the IRS on behalf of the client
• Attend a VITA Training course in Tax Law, Taxwise Software, and ITINs

Housing Program Duties (30%):

• Ensure timely data entry to assist Housing Director in report preparation
• Management of data on excel
• Provide weekly housing workshops in Spanish and English
• Process Housing Deposit checks through HPP’s accounting system
• Provide assistance to on-call manager regarding housing cases.
