Did you know that over a million dollars was refunded to HPP taxpayers last year through our Low Income Tax Clinic (LITC)? Our amazing team is at it again this year, gearing up for an even more impactful 2011 tax season. Since the beginning of January, LITC staff and volunteers have already prepared over 90 tax returns. In partnership with the United Way of the Bay Area’s Earn It! Keep It! Save It! program, HPP’s LITC joins a coalition of community-based organizations, the IRS, financial institutions, foundations, and government agencies all dedicated to the goal of helping low-income families become financially stable.
