Jefferson Award

Founder and Executive Director Martha Ryan received the Jefferson Award.

This award was created by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft, Jr. and Sam Beard, founder of the American Institute for Public Service. The awards are presented on two levels, national and local. National recipients constitute a “Who’s Who” of outstanding Americans. The local award is given to “ordinary” people who do extraordinatory work without expectation of recognition.
